History

As a company we stand by 12 core values, pillars that represent what we consider to be the defining features of how we do business.
In simple terms, we fix fridges and ovens and have been doing so since 1992.

Since 1992, we have been known as McFarlane Telfer, often shortened to ‘McFarlane’s” or “Telfer’s”. A team of engineers is on the road, working in the kitchens of businesses, schools, colleges, stately homes, hospitals, care homes and airports.

When the business expanded into new territories such as the Gulf, it became clear that the name McFarlane Telfer doesn’t translate into all languages and a simple version was required. Many international brands have adopted a series of letters (GSK, KPMG) so we followed suit. MCFT is a lot easier to manage in any language.

As the business has evolved, so too has the logo to create a cleaner, crisper, stronger image.
In 2016 we fully adopted a new logo, ‘fire and ice’ – designed to represent the 2 sides of the company. We affectionately refer to the engineers as hot or cold, depending on whether they specialise in ovens or fridges.

Quality is still paramount, and we believe our engineers are the best trained in the business.
